During winter break, my kids and I usually head to our favorite winter wonderland – the city zoo. We find observing animals as the nature changes to be quite tranquil and peaceful. I especially love seeing inspiration wherever I go and I really observed an amazing insight on beauty from watching these animals.
Cats of all sizes – housecats, jaguars, leopards, any kind – all have a beauty trend that is reflected in their long whiskers – eyelash growth! Why are cat’s women-like animals? Because their whiskers are like eyelash growth products and accentuate their eyes and face. As we passed by the raccoons, I noticed nature’s self-designed dark circle removers on their eyes – I wondered if having dark circles meant humans weren’t meant to be nocturnal, like the raccoon is? Good observation, no? I then noticed how the hippo’s constantly moisturize their skin after being in the hot sun (naturally in the hot sun, not in the city!) and it made me think about how often I use skin brighteners, age spot treatments, and wrinkle creams to moisturize my skin and make me look young. Hippo’s just have to work on their weight issues, not complexion issues! Finally, the peacocks made me think about how birds can appear one way and, when surprised, fan out an array of gorgeous feathers – similar to women who wear no makeup and then are pleasantly surprised after using French beauty products. Like the peacock, the change is magnificent!
That’s what nature and the animal kingdom teaches us. Beauty is natural – all these French beauty products and makeups serve to enhance ones natural beauty. This is why I love coming to the zoo to learn about all these insights. Now I wonder what insights I’ll gain by taking my kids to the bowling alley…
